Share the budget with your vendor

As the rockstars of the print, packaging , display, and cd/dvd business often times we make samples for clients,

taking alot of time to make sure  the package works properly, all the products inside fit and are secure and don't

move around inside the package. the locks work well, the fit is perfect..we go to great lengths to make a sample right ,

only to find out many times that the package is over the budget.

It saves all concerned time and money if the vendor knows what they have to work with. at jimmy cohn productions,

we know the difference between a .20 budget for a package or ,50 budget. if you are working with a vendor you trust,

tell them the budget so they can bring in a package that will work. its a waste of time to bring the client a .40 cent package

when the budget is .25. maybe i can make a .25 cent package, but it probably won't look like the 40 cent sample.  the more

information the vendor has, the better job they can do.
